CAMP CHAVERIM
Dear Parents,
Come join our new and improved “Camp Chaverim” here at The Tauber Academy. At “Camp Chaverim” our days are filled with learning, playing, and having fun. Our camp goal is to ensure every child will have an exciting and entertaining summer experience while being introduced to a variety of new activities, shows, and friends. Our camp groups range from 3 months- 6 year olds. We offer many activities as well as educational learning opportunities. For our Toddlers and Nursery we will have circle time as well as one-on-one time with teachers to work with your children on developing their fine motor skills. For our children in Pre-K- 1st grade we will have Silly Science, Mind Lab, and one-on-one teacher time for your children to work on letter sound recognition and math skills. Some of the activities your children can look forward to are: ~Cooking~ Arts & Crafts~ Yoga ~ Playball~ Judaics ~ Shows~ Water Play~ Music~Bounce House~ Prep Classes~ In House Field Trips~ Ceramics~ Karate~ Spirit Fridays~ All of our camp counselors are teacher accredited and certified in CPR. “Camp Chaverim” is fun, exciting, and a safe place where you will truly see your child thrive in a rich learning environment. Summer is fast approaching and Camp Chaverim is almost here! This summer we will be having prep classes for campers going into Pre-K through First grade. The curriculum we will be using for camp is Core Knowledge (the same used at Tauber Academy during the school year). We will be focusing on the areas of Language Arts and Math. Our goal is to reinforce the skills your child has mastered, as well as enable your child to progress to the next level. There will be NO HOMEWORK and NO TESTS!
The classes will take place three times a week. One of our very own outstanding teachers, Sherry Peters, will be teaching the prep classes. Sherry has been teaching at Tauber Academy for 12 years and has privately tutored students of all ages for the past 10 years.
